Asbestos and Asbestos Dust Kills
Unions continue to work towards making our workplaces and homes asbestos free. We do this by:
- working to ensure that regulation is such that it protects workers and the community from exposure to asbestos
- encouraging government to ensure that regulation is complied with, and to prosecute where it is not complied with
- promoting awareness in the general community of asbestos and the dangers of exposure
- promoting asbestos support groups to assist those who have contracted asbestos-related disease and their families
